Playing The Blame Game?

I was reading through a favoured web-comic of mine when I stumbled upon an interesting story. Turns out Jack Thompson is on the trail again, this time blaming video games for the shooting at Virginia Tech last April. He jumped in front of camera, fired off reports to news agents and generally made his presence and voice heard all over.

The most active lawyer against the Grand Theft Auto series is Jack Thompson. He has argued against the release of every single (barring the first) GTA game out so far. Has he ever stopped them? No. The closest he's come is succedding in his efforts is to change the rating of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas from M to AO, after exposing the hidden Hot Coffee material left over in the source code. That only delayed Rockstar Games , as they had to release a version with that portion of the source code removed.

How "real" is Real Life?

Now, we've all heard of the controversy surrounding the Grand Theft Auto series. The murders, shootings and thefts all blamed on the video game series. I personally own three of the Grand Theft Auto games, all bought buy myself once I was old enough. And you know what? I don't have a criminal record, nor have a ever shot anyone.
Do the people who sue video game makers expect to get money?
